  1. It is a testosterone killer. You will grow tïts and your sperm becomes less fertile. You’ll become lazy and also God doesn’t seem to like it — Pro’s: you’ll get a smoother skin and it might rid you of acné. You will also acquire some sort of super-powers.

  2. long term memory gets affected
    and leads to psychosis

  3. weight gain, acne, bronchitial infections, brain farts, the inability to run, a dirty house, unpaid bills, i could go on and on

  4. First of all, marijuana is illegal in America. Second, it causes WAY more damage then regular cigarettes. It pretty much gives you everything cigarettes do, but 100x worse. It give other stuff also, that cigarettes do not.

  5. Health Hazards

Effects of Marijuana on the Brain. Researchers have found that THC changes the way in which sensory information gets into and is acted on by the hippocampus. This is a component of the brain’s limbic system that is crucial for learning, memory, and the integration of sensory experiences with emotions and motivations. Investigations have shown that THC suppresses neurons in the information-processing system of the hippocampus. In addition, researchers have discovered that learned behaviors, which depend on the hippocampus, also deteriorate. Take the virtual tour to learn more about the effects of marijuana on the brain.

Effects on the Lungs. Someone who smokes marijuana regularly may have many of the same respiratory problems that tobacco smokers have. These individuals may have daily cough and phlegm, symptoms of chronic bronchitis, and more frequent chest colds. Continuing to smoke marijuana can lead to abnormal functioning of lung tissue injured or destroyed by marijuana smoke.

Regardless of the THC content, the amount of tar inhaled by marijuana smokers and the level of carbon monoxide absorbed are three to five times greater than among tobacco smokers. This may be due to marijuana users inhaling more deeply and holding the smoke in the lungs.

  6. Here is some information on marijuana:

Biologically, marijuana affects the brain, heart, lungs, sexual organs, and depresses the immune system. The effects on the brain include distortion of the senses, confused judgment, and decreased motor skills. Operating machinery and motor vehicles becomes dangerous. Effects on the heart include rapid heart rate and high blood pressure. Respiratory problems include pharyngitis, laryngitis, and bronchitis. Marijuana has been associated with lung, head, and neck cancers. It reduces the T-cells in the immune system that are needed to fight off infections. In pre-teens, marijuana use can retard physical growth and slow down development. High dose marijuana use can cause decreased fertility, breast enlargement in males, and breast milk production.

  7. Marijuana is safe. It is absolutely not a testosterone killer and does not lead to infertility. If you use it for medical reasons and look at it as a drug then you know that every drug has side effects. Marijuana makes you lethargic (sleepy), hungry, and euphoric (happy). It has not been linked to cancer although marijuana does contain tar. The tar can be avoided by ingesting it in food or using a vaporizer. Long-term heavy usage can lead to one becoming lazy. However, if you smoke in moderation this is less likely to happen. Smoke less, function better, conserve weed, and save money.

  8. The disadvantages rarely have to do with health. As you can tell from the ignorance of some other answers on here-such as the idea that it causes psychosis-that there is a social stigma that comes with smoking pot. people are terribly uninformed about the true nature and effects of Marijuana. While cannanoids do protect against cancer, pot smoking can still be more trouble than it’s worth-especially if your bringing home a lot of paper-cuz one random drug test and you might be out. THC is oil soluble so it stays in your system for months. So the main disadvantage, and the only one of any significance, is only a factor if your looking for a job or are randomly drug tested at work. and yes it is 1000000000000xs safer than cigarettes

  9. There has been many studies on this subject a LOT of it is pure garbage and has more to due with someones agenda than real science.

Some real problems with Smoking Marijuana

Cancer: Smoking anything is bad for your lungs.(although recent studies show the risk is quite low and may even prevent cancer, unlike tobacco)
Short term memory loss while it is in your system
Paranoia: If you smoke to much at one time
    Increased blood pressure(from smoking)
Dependency- The risk of dependency is quite low compared to alcohol and tobacco. Tobacco is as addictive as cocaine.
    Jail- It’s illegal!
Job- Drug testing may deny you access to jobs.
    Yellowing of teeth
    Bad breath.

Smoking marijuana is a bad habit, like drinking, tobacco use or over eating.

  10. Don’t listen to these idiots on here posting all this BS about marijuana. Its a plant. Plain and simple. Alcohol, tobacco, painkillers, and even caffeine are far more deadly than weed. Marijuana has never killed anyone and is proven to reduce many serious illnesses such as cancer and alzheimers. If your going to smoke, either sit in your room, go to the woods, wherever. I don’t advise driving high because that is where you might harm yourself and others. Just relax and roll a joint. Its been on earth since the beginning of time and will be forever. Its a natural god-made substance. It was made to bring happiness to you so if you feel the need to smoke weed, go right ahead. Don’t listen to the government telling you all these lies about how deadly it is and why its illegal. Its illegal because the US Government cant make as much money off it as theyd like. Straight up. I hate to see these idiotic hypocrates try and tell you that it will kill you. It wont. Dont listen to these lies society pushes on you. So to answer your question, cigarettes kill an average of 400,000 a year, while weed kills an average of 0. So sure well go ahead and say cigarettes are much safer than marijuana…..sure.

  11. Do not believe what people tell you about the cures that marijuana produce because they are trying to sell their product there are more down sides than cures and that the effects the brain cells you lose concentration and lack the ability to think clearly and the damage to the brain cell is progressive over long periods studies done by the University of Edinburgh.
Having said that many years ago at one of the Sydney Hospitals open days where my family of 4 tried this test where you placed a piece of paper on our tongue, the non smokers could taste nothing but I having been a smoker but had giving it up, got the most horrible bitter taste which I could not get rid of until I rinsed my mouth out with lots of water.
It was a test to see if a person could give up smoking.
Which only proves that everyone is different when trying to kick the habit.
Because lots of people do something does not mean it is good for you

  12. Don’t believe in Charles because what he is saying is a 100% LIE. First of all, smoking marijuana is illegal, and it has so many disadvantages to our health, like short-term memory loss, hallucination, paranoia, etc. The major chemical component of the psychoactive marijuana is Δ9 – tetrahydrocannabinol which is abbreviated as THC. There are also 66 other cannabinoids that are contained in marijuana. They are cannabinol (CBN), cannabidiol (CBD) and tetrahydrocannabivarin (THCV). 5% THC is contained in marijuana. There have been many studies to identify the negative impacts due to the marijuana. Specialists have observed that brain is affected by THC. While smoking marijuana, THC passes from the lungs into the blood stream while the chemicals are carried by it to the brain and other organs of the body. THC has effects on several parts of the brain and creates a series of reactions that lead to high stages as time passed. Thus, marijuana intoxication causes weakened coordination, distorted awareness, difficulty in thinking and solving a problem. Prolonged use also causes problems with learning and memory. The bad impacts of marijuana on memory and learning may last for days or weeks. The long-term effects of marijuana on the brain are the changing of brain cells that contain dopamine. The dopamine neurons control human behaviors including reward and motivation.
